The ProAction Board came into being in the spring of 2006. This work group, which brings together the political, financial and economic spheres, was mandated to diagnose the state of the economy in the region and to propose short-, medium- and long-term actions to stimulate economic development. The Board came up with an economic portrait of the region, from which emerged a coherent and realistic strategy to be carried out over a period of approximately ten years (2007-2017). This strategy outlines 11 trajectories for the economic development of the area, and several projects have been identified for each trajectory.
