Because there’s more to Acton than its bustling economy. Culture, tourism, and sports also thrive here. There are festivals all year long, in every town. In the summer, the mood is particularly festive. There’s a public market every weekend in Bethany, and every Tuesday evening, in the heart of downtown Acton Vale, there’s a live musical performance. The Agricultural Food Fair ushers in the holidays, but there’s also an event to mark their end: the “Back to School Show,” three days of concerts featuring Quebecois singers and bands.
All kinds of cultural events are programmed throughout the year at our concert hall: comedians, musical groups, singers, children's shows, films. And don’t forget the internationally renowned Théâtre de la Dame de Cœur: this company based in Upton welcomes 20,000 spectators every year to its various activities. There are also several restaurants in the Acton region, and many shops. Artists and artisans are well represented, and every year more and more local products are offered. Many farmers sell products directly from their farms, and the region’s boutiques and market stalls are flourishing as their popularity grows.
